This year’s Energy Taiwan exhibition at Taipei’s Nangang Exhibition Center has once again proven a powerful magnet, bringing together key industry players. The larger international footprint, compared to previous editions, confirms that Taiwan’s energy storage solution providers — whether on the hardware, software, or EPC side — are now ready to take the leap and venture into new markets such as Japan and Southeast Asia.
As expected, one of the most discussed topics was the new cybersecurity certification mandated by the Japanese government for BESS projects. Given our current involvement in the Japanese market, some of our partners were among the first in Taiwan to implement this new standard, and are particularly well-positioned to keep growing in segments that require clean supply chains for sensitive applications.
Energy Taiwan 2026 was the backdrop for many fruitful discussions with customers and partners, with an eye on new markets such as the Philippines, where a new policy mandates a 20% storage component for new solar projects.
